One thing that’s been a part of my everyday life is staying healthy. I enjoy running and biking. Typically i’ll bike to work in the mornings and afternoons. Since most of the way is uphill, I end up getting a great workout from it.
The other thing that I do to stay healthy is to watch what I eat. I’ve been following this really interesting website lately called Sound Body Life. I found it on facebook one day and ever since then I’ve been reading a lot of their articles.
One article in particular has really caught my interest. It’s their article on the best juicer. After reading through this long post, I decided to try out a juicing diet myself. It’s still in the beginning phases, but i’m really enjoying how good this type of diet makes me feel.
I bought a juicer a long time ago, but never put it to use. I mean, I’ve used it a couple of times to make random smoothies, but after reading that article, I had the drive to start using the darn thing everyday.
I pretty much just mix whatever I like into the juice. I know a lot of people have all these specific recipes, but for me, I just throw in whatever vegetables and fruits that I have in the fridge and drink that.
You know what my favorite is? Blueberries.
I just can’t get enough of those things. I mix it into every fruit drink that I make and it seems to make any drink into a masterpiece. Luckily for me there’s a blueberry farm close to where I live, so I’ve been doing a lot of picking. It’s about 1/3 of the cost to get blueberries form the farm versus the ones that you get at the grocery store. I think I’ve stocked up 60 lbs of the stuff.
If you’re thinking about giving juicing a try, I definitely recommend it. It allows me to get a ton of the vitamins that everyone says you need. If it wasn’t for juicing, i’d probably only be getting half of what I need.
Anyway, give it a try. It’s great for the health, so it’s definitely worth it.
